Tom is a Partner in the Litigation Division and he manages the
client relationship management of the Public Sector team in the
Bristol office.
Tom specialises in defending personal injury claims and handles
solely public sector litigation. His work encompasses the handling
of employers' liability, public liability and motor claims. He is
experienced in dealing with local authority, education, highways,
housing and emergency services claims. Tom also advises on
SHE, risk management and policy coverage.
Tom is responsible for the handling of public sector clients'
claims portfolios and this involves the identification and
management of trend issues such as fraud and costs points.
Tom also has particular expertise with sports claims and
recently successfully defended a claim by a rugby player in the
Court of Appeal.
Tom provides regular seminars and articles and is involved in
public sector insurance groups
