Tony Child, Partner

Tony is a leading practitioner in the fields of public, administrative and local government law with extensive experience of advising public authorities and the private sector.

He advises both those exercising regulatory and disciplinary functions and those subject to regulation and disciplinary action. He has had the successful conduct of many leading cases in public and administrative law over the past 20 years. Tony has specialist knowledge in all aspects of public, constitutional and administrative law, including the impact of EU administrative and regulatory law. Tony has extensive experience of judicial reviews, statutory appeals and other public law litigation. He is a recognised expert in local government and health sector law and has advised on human rights, data protection and freedom of information, public finance and audit law, and major inquiries and investigations, including on behalf of public sector auditors.
