Heather Durston-Hillyer, Partner

Heather was educated at Nottingham University. She worked for Cole & Cole in Oxford from where she qualified in 1995. Heather joined Wansbroughs’ Birmingham office in 1996, and moved to the Winchester office in 1997.

From 1995 -1997, Heather specialised in personal injury work, in particular employers’ and public liability claims within the insurance litigation department of Wansbroughs’ Birmingham office. During that time she was also involved in clinical negligence claims, including inquest work. Since moving to the firm’s Winchester office in 1997, she has specialised solely in clinical negligence claims involving health clients. As well as NHSLA work on behalf of Trusts and Health Authorities, she undertakes work for the Medical Defence Union involving both GPs and medical treatment provided privately. She is currently involved in many complex and high value matters including those involving brain and spinal injury to both adults and children. Heather has particular expertise in birth injury cases and other catastrophic injury claims.
