Ben specialises in insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes. He advises on a wide range of coverage matters (and related recovery actions) with a particular focus on property risks including construction and engineering, financial loss, (business interruption and delay in start up), fire, flood and machinery breakdown.

Ben also advises clients on both facultative and treaty reinsurance recoveries and on non-contentious insurance and reinsurance matters including policy wordings, underwriting agreements, claims management agreements and other insurance related commercial agreements. Ben has advised extensively on the FSA regulation of general insurance business following the implementation of the Insurance Mediation Directive.
